I made “Fuego Mode” several months ago and then I kinda put it in a drawer, because I was totally in the mindset that I needed to make a full album before I released it. I was thinking like this because I’m old, and that’s the way it used to be done long ago and my mind was still stuck back in those days. Now, though, I realize that everyone just releases singles, and when they’ve released enough singles that fit together, they stick ’em together and call them an album. That was actually SO liberating, honestly, because now I’ll release music much, much faster and more often, without the self-imposed handcuffs of having to fit everything into an album.
Anyhow, “Fuego Mode” is a relatively quick hitter — 2 minutes and change, although a longer version is coming — a sweet little mix of hard reggaeton and heavy rock. Those two genres can really complement each other….some heavy riffs can really bring a new, almost violent, intensity to a dance song. I hope you like it! It’s everywhere — Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, all the usual places.
